The information we collect varies depending on the type of activity you are performing on our website or app. Much of the website and app can be accessed without providing any personal information.
Mobile Location Services
Our app may utilize location services on your mobile device to collect and use location data, including the real-time location of your device, to provide you with a service you have consented to use and other information. You can choose to disable location services through your app but doing so will result in you not receiving any information that require a location.
Online or Mobile Applications
When you apply through our website for a loan or employment, we collect the personal information needed to complete your request. The personal information we collect varies depending on the application type but can include name, address, phone number, birthdate, Social Security number, email address, employment and financial information, etc. Information provided through these online applications is securely transferred to the Credit Union.
How We Use Your Information
The information you provide is primarily used to complete loan requests or to access services you request, such as CU-Online home banking or our mobile banking app. We may also use your personal information to provide you with important information and products and services that you have or are using, including security risks and updates. Additionally, we may send you information about Credit Union products and services we believe may be of interest to you.
If you complete an employment application, we may use the information to contact you about a current or future position available at the Credit Union. If you no longer wish to be considered for employment with us, please contact us using one of the methods below.
Who We Share Your Information With
We limit the use of your personal information and require privacy protections in our business relationships. We do not sell your information, whether you are a Credit Union member or not. We may share your personal information when required by law, or with third parties that perform functions or marketing on our behalf.
A cookie is a small piece of data sent from a website and stored on your device by your web browser. They are used by a browser to remember specific information as you navigate a website or when you return to a website. A cookie does not store personally identifiable information or sensitive information. Our website does not read any information stored in cookies given to you from other websites, except when the other website provides information or functionality within our website and that cookies is necessary to make our website function correctly.
We use “Google Analytics” to collect information about use of our website across devices. We use the Remarketing and AdWords features of Google Analytics. The Remarketing feature allows us to serve you relevant advertising on third party websites if you have visited our website, but does not personally or directly identify you. AdWords allows us to manage our advertising and collect information about your visit to our website. Visitors can opt-out of Google Analytics for Display Advertising and customize Google Display Network ads using the Ad Settings found at www.google.com/settings. Because our website is secure, your browser will inform you if you are leaving a secured part of our website. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA)
Cloverbelt Credit Union does not use its website to knowingly collect, maintain or use personal information about children under age 13. If a child whom we know to be under age 13 sends personal information to us online, we will only use the information to respond directly to that child, notify parents or seek parental consent.
